Your facial treatment and care guide

Open the sections below for treatment options, appointment steps and preparation. Tell the team about sensitivity, allergies and recent treatments before your visit.

Choosing a facial, cleansing and masks

Choosing a facial for your skin

A facial is a cosmetic skin-care appointment rather than a diagnosis or a cure for a skin condition. Start with what you want to improve and how your skin currently feels. A gentler hydration-focused option may suit someone whose skin feels dry, while an exfoliation-focused appointment may be considered for surface congestion. The team assesses suitability before selecting products and settings.

Please mention persistent redness, active breakouts, eczema, rosacea, recent sunburn or a reaction to a product. A medical assessment may be more appropriate than a cosmetic appointment, and some steps may need to be adjusted or postponed. Results, comfort and recovery vary with your skin and the techniques used.

Hydration, cleansing and mask options

The menu includes LED, Hydra Glow Deep Clean and Oxygen Boost Hydration options. Ask what is included in the particular appointment you select. Hydradermabrasion, exfoliation, extraction or device-based steps are chosen according to suitability; they are not automatically included in every appointment.

Hydrojelly, Mummy Sculpting and Argireline Contouring Powder masks have also featured in our customised menu. Mask selection depends on your skin, the available products and your ingredient preferences. Tell the team about allergies, fragrance sensitivity or a preference for vegan products so the actual product label can be checked. A mask does not provide a surgical facelift or guarantee a change to facial structure.

Your appointment, step by step

Your facial appointment, step by step

Our customised approach has included eight stages. Your appointment may use a different sequence or omit a stage when it is unsuitable. Confirm the planned steps, expected sensations and total cost before treatment begins.

  1. Skin review and preparation: discuss your concerns, current routine and previous reactions. Steam is considered only if appropriate.
  2. Cleansing: remove surface make-up, oil and product residue with a suitable cleanser.
  3. Exfoliation: select an appropriate method and strength, or leave this step out if your skin cannot tolerate it.
  4. Cleansing or extraction step: consider hydradermabrasion or other suitable techniques for surface congestion.
  5. Mask selection: choose a mask according to the assessment and check its ingredients where needed.
  6. LED option: include LED where it is part of your selected menu item and is appropriate for you.
  7. Comfort and recovery care: apply suitable finishing products and check how your skin feels.
  8. Hydration and home-care plan: explain a simple routine and any product restrictions relevant to the steps performed.

You can ask questions or request a pause at any stage. Tell the practitioner promptly if a product stings, burns or causes unexpected discomfort. A customised appointment should account for your skin's response rather than require you to complete every step.

Preparation, risks and aftercare

Preparation, recovery and optional home care

Bring the names of your regular skin-care products and tell the team about recent peels, laser sessions, skin needling, medication and allergies. Do not stop prescribed treatment on your own; ask your treating clinician and the Reborn team what is appropriate before an appointment. Avoid scheduling an unfamiliar facial immediately before an important event without discussing the recovery you may need.

Possible reactions include temporary redness, irritation, swelling, tightness, grazing or flaking, particularly when exfoliation or extraction is included. A reaction can last longer than the appointment itself. The team should explain the risks for the chosen steps and provide individual aftercare instructions. Seek medical advice for a severe, worsening or persistent reaction.

Keep your routine gentle after your appointment and use the moisturiser and sun protection recommended for you. Ask when to restart exfoliating acids, retinoids and other active products. Avoid adding several unfamiliar products while your skin is recovering. The American Academy of Dermatology's guide to facial masks explains why ingredients and skin type matter.

For optional ongoing care, explore our Félice Rose Cleanser and Félice Lactic Cleanser. An exfoliating cleanser may not be suitable immediately after treatment. Ask which product and timing fit your skin; buying retail products is not required to book.

7 helpful facial booking questions

Which facial should I book first?

Compare your main concern with the menu and tell the team about sensitivity, previous reactions and recent treatments. If you are unsure whether cleansing, hydration or exfoliation is appropriate, ask for guidance before choosing a facial appointment.

Can I book a facial at either Brisbane clinic?

The facial options above are currently listed online at Annerley. For Fortitude Valley facial enquiries, call 0410 415 415 to confirm availability before booking a different service. The separate A$99 new-client micro-needling offer is listed at both clinics.

What does the facial price include?

Inclusions depend on the selected menu item. For example, the published 60-minute option names LED. Ask whether a mask, extraction, hydradermabrasion or another step is included and obtain the total price before agreeing to an additional procedure.

Will one facial clear acne or pigmentation?

There is no guaranteed outcome from one appointment. A facial may change how your skin feels or looks, but persistent acne, pigmentation or redness can need a different assessment and management plan. Discuss realistic goals rather than expecting a cure.

Does a facial have downtime?

Recovery depends on the products, techniques and your skin. Redness, irritation or flaking can occur. Discuss an upcoming event and ask what recovery is expected from the specific steps proposed for you.

How is the A$99 offer different from a facial?

The new-client offer is a separate micro-needling appointment with simple cleansing and finishing cream, subject to eligibility and assessment. It does not include the full treatment menu or every mask and device listed on this page.

How do I arrange an appointment?

Open the Annerley facial menu, choose your service, and check the date, fees and booking conditions. For Fortitude Valley facial enquiries, call first. If you need help, use our contact page or call 0410 415 415. Suitability is assessed before treatment; a booking does not guarantee that every requested step can proceed.
