About RF and your visit

What RF means and how services differ

What RF skin tightening means

Radiofrequency energy produces heating in tissue. Cosmetic RF procedures may aim to improve the appearance of firmness, but the device, treatment area and individual response matter. This is not surgery and does not remove excess skin. No specific degree of tightening or visible result is guaranteed.

See DermNet’s explanation of radiofrequency-based radiothermoplasty for general background. That resource discusses Thermage as one example; it does not establish that Reborn uses that particular brand or model. Ask the practitioner to identify the actual device and explain the proposed procedure.

RF skin tightening and other procedures

RF skin tightening is not the same booking as basic micro-needling, microdermabrasion or carbon laser facial. RF microneedling is also a separate technique using needles and RF energy. Do not assume that instructions, prices or offers for one procedure apply to another.

The A$99 new-client offer is for basic micro-needling, subject to its separate conditions and suitability. RF skin tightening is not included in that offer. Check the selected service name, clinic and listed fee before choosing an appointment time. If you are unsure which service to enquire about, describe your concern to the team first.

Suitability and questions for your practitioner

Suitability and implanted devices

The FDA’s RF and non-invasive body-contouring information explains these device risks. It is general US guidance, not evidence of Australian approval or clearance for Reborn’s device. Ask for the patient information relevant to the actual equipment and treatment area.

Disclose pregnancy or breastfeeding, medical conditions, medicines, recent procedures, skin irritation and any reduced sensation. Bring the names and dates of treatments or implants in the same area. Your practitioner must assess the information before deciding whether to proceed, defer or recommend another option. Do not stop prescribed medication yourself.

Questions before RF skin tightening

  • What device and treatment method are proposed for this appointment?
  • Who will perform it and what training do they have with that equipment?
  • Which area is included in the listed 30-minute service?
  • What change is realistic for your assessed concern?
  • What individual risks or contraindications apply?
  • How many appointments, if any, are proposed and what would the total cost be?
  • What preparation, aftercare and review should you follow?

Ask these questions before agreeing to a course. A webpage or a booking label cannot replace the discussion about your goals and suitability. If an explanation is unclear, ask the team to clarify it before treatment. You can also ask whether further clinical advice is needed before making a decision.

Risks, preparation and aftercare

Comfort and risks during RF skin tightening

Possible adverse effects include discomfort, redness, swelling, blisters, burns, colour changes and scarring. Report excessive heat or pain immediately. Do not try to tolerate worsening discomfort to obtain a stronger effect. Tell the practitioner if sensation is reduced or you cannot reliably describe what you feel.

Overheating can also cause unwanted contour changes; risks depend on the device and technique. The DermNet resource describes fat atrophy as a possible complication of a radiofrequency procedure. Ask about the risk relevant to your proposed treatment rather than assuming that all RF services have the same settings or safety profile.

RF skin tightening preparation and aftercare

Have your current skincare and medication names ready for the assessment. Contact the clinic if anything has changed since you booked, including a new treatment, skin reaction or implant. Ask whether you should attend as booked or have the situation reviewed first. Follow the specific preparation instructions you receive.

Ask for written aftercare and a contact pathway before leaving. Confirm when to resume makeup, active skincare, exercise, heat exposure and other procedures. This page does not set a universal recovery interval or a fixed date when results must be judged. Individual instructions and your response determine the plan.

Contact the clinic promptly about blistering, broken skin, increasing pain or spreading redness, and seek medical care for severe or worsening symptoms. Do not treat a concerning change as a necessary part of achieving a result. Keep the treatment details and instructions available if you need a review.

Price checks and visiting Annerley

RF skin tightening price and appointments

  • RF skin firming treatment — 30 minutes: A$219.

The price is in Australian dollars and includes GST. Compare the Reborn price list and check the current Annerley booking menu. Clarify the included area, appointment length and any separately charged option before agreeing to the total. The listing is not a quotation for an unspecified course or multiple areas.

If a course is proposed, ask about the cost of each visit and when progress will be reviewed before further appointments. Do not buy a fixed number solely because a webpage describes a typical schedule. A gradual response, no visible response or an alternative recommendation should be discussed as part of informed decision-making.

8 helpful booking questions

Where can I book RF skin tightening?

At Reborn Annerley only. Use the Annerley appointment link here and confirm the treatment name. It is not available at our Fortitude Valley clinic.

What is the listed appointment price?

The RF skin firming treatment is listed as 30 minutes at A$219 including GST. Confirm what area is included and any extra charge before proceeding.

Does the A$99 new-client offer include RF skin tightening?

No. That offer applies to basic micro-needling under separate conditions. It does not change the RF appointment price.

Is this the same as RF microneedling?

Do not assume so. RF microneedling uses needles and RF energy. Ask the practitioner to identify the actual method and device before agreeing to the procedure.

Can I book if I have an implanted device?

Tell the clinic before booking. Active electronic implants are contraindications to RF. Other implants and metal in the area also need review; do not assume a lower setting makes treatment suitable.

Will one appointment produce a visible result?

No result is guaranteed. Discuss the expected change, limitations, review point and cost for your own assessment before deciding whether to proceed or buy a course.

What if I need to change a booking or raise a concern?

Contact Reborn with the service and appointment details. Clarify the current cancellation and rescheduling conditions before booking. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply.

Does a skincare order reserve an appointment?

No. The online shop is a separate purchase pathway. A retail order or existing voucher credit does not create a clinic appointment or establish treatment suitability. New gift vouchers are no longer sold online.
